InProQu infers kind from the document title (and from Convert). List view has no type column; cards show the type on the cover.
[Documents-hub-cards] A title that contains “Invoice” or “Acknowledgement” picks the matching email template and convert path. “Acknowledgement … Invoice” is treated as an acknowledgement.
The four kinds
| Kind | Title cues | Client action | Typical email template |
|---|---|---|---|
| Proposal | Default if nothing else matches | Accept / decline / sign | Proposal sent |
| Quotation | quotation, estimate, quote | Same as proposal | Proposal sent |
| Invoice | invoice | Pay; then convert to receipt | Invoice sent |
| Acknowledgement | acknowledgement, ack receipt | View-only | Acknowledgement sent |
Convert lifecycle
Proposal / Quotation → Invoice → Acknowledgement (final)
Rules that surprise people:
- Convert only appears when there is a project total greater than zero. A free “access” doc with $0 has no Convert.
- Proposal / quote must be accepted before Convert to invoice.
- Invoice unlocks acknowledgement when it is accepted, paid, or partial.
- Acknowledgement is the last step: no further convert.
- Convert creates a new slim draft. It is not a clone of the full pitch.
Details: Convert.
Statuses you will see
Draft → Shared → Viewed → Accepted or Declined. Archived / voided is a separate path. Returning to draft turns public links off.
Pipeline math
Dashboard pipeline is shared/viewed proposals and quotes only. After convert, the invoice does not count as a second deal.
