Share links work with no mailbox. Connect email only if you want Send from inside InProQu.
Integrations → Gmail, Outlook, or Zoho Mail → Connect → finish consent. The card should say Connected.
Custom SMTP (Pro+)
Settings → Email: host, port (587 or 465), username, password or app password, From address. Credentials stay encrypted.
SMTP is not in the first-run wizard. Skip mailbox in setup with Use share links for now, then connect later.
What uses the mailbox
- Send to client from Share (template follows document kind)
- Client follow-up from Share
- Thank-you after accept
- Voided notice
- Signer verification code
- Optional copies of in-app notifications
- Internal outreach (unopened / follow-up / balance due) to you
Templates
Voice lives under Settings → Email → Email templates. Client mail should include {{view_url}}. Staff outreach should use {{document_url}} only. Full table: Email templates.
Tips
- From address should be a mailbox you control.
- If Send is blocked, copy the link: do not wait on SMTP.
- Google / Microsoft / Zoho are OAuth. If Connect fails, the redirect URI on the provider app must match the app URL.
- One connected mailbox is enough. You do not need Gmail and SMTP.
